MEETING CALLED TO ORDER BY VP. Keller at 10:20AM

Keller led those present in Pledge to the Flag and a moment of silence for those who made their final patrol. No pastor present due to illness.

Zolnowski read minutes of Sept. meeting. Motion made by Bartkowiak/Duff to accept minutes as read, passed.

Financial report given by Nacke motion to accept carried...Copies on the head table for members to read.

Nacke read off list of new members-Don Airey-LTPD//G.Martz-CPD//
Joe Flipowicz-BPD//Stroud-Div. Of Parole//F.Connelly-Olean PD//J. Lawicki-ECSD// Mark asked those present to stand, they were welcomed to the assoc.

Keller reported that per Dick Thurnherr , due to the inactivity of this year’s legislative body, all bills important to us will be re-introduced-Gabryszak  will re-introduce the health bill regarding retention of health ins. upon retirement that we supported.

Gospodarski reported that legislative members reported to Albany, collected their per diem, had a free lunch, met with lobbyists, did no work and voted to come back next week. He also reported on pending legislation by Atty. Gen. Cuomo to appoint a 13 member committee to oversee our pension...He feels, as most of us do, that this is just a way to create more jobs for political friends. Remember, it was his father that raided the fund in the 80”s. That act was subsequently ruled illegal by the courts but it is not clear if the money was ever repaid to the pension fund as the court ordered. He also stated that all local politicians voted in favor of this committee.

Pres. Haentges thanked those present for their support reminding the membership that politicians are interested in numbers, this being the reason we should keep our membership high. He also spoke about the possible raiding of the pension fund looking at the way Clinton raided the Arkansas fund and Brown did the same to California.

Keller advised those present that 4 members of the assoc. passed away since our last meeting. Al .Koradori-Town of Tonawanda PD//Bonito, Pirrone and Malecki all of BPD. A moment of silence was observed.

Keller reminded all “snow birds” to notify Nacke of their winter address.
He also gave date for Feb. meeting here at Magruders and reminded them to read the newsletter for all the 2010 dates.
